We had Abi's family party the following weekend. The girls always pick a theme to go with and Abi picked "flowers" she loves her flowers- just like her momma. Since she could walk she has been helping me plant flowers and loves to watch them grow and helps take care of them too.

As you can see below I made the ever so popular right now "cake pops." Well, I think they are absolutely de-lish...however, they are time consuming. Guess if I made them a couple more times I could get the system down.... but my waist says NO!! I would eat one here and there if it wouldn't stay on the stick during the making...or I had more balls than sticks ...so needed to eat those too- ugh! :)

We were so fortunate that our party was the same day Uncle Wayne and Aunt Kay from Pennsylvania were traveling through. I love to see them and spend time with them!! Was so nice having you here!!

FIELD TRIP TIME!

Abi had a big day planned on her actual Birthday, the Kindergarten class FIELD TRIP!! They started the day out at Rock Springs and went on a hike. Then back on the bus over to the Scovill Zoo. I met them there at that time for their sack lunches and then through the Zoo. Afterwards, they spent about an hour on the big playground outside the zoo.

Abi's teacher had given her a Birthday crown to wear for the day.

This was my group of kids I was assigned...they were so much fun and very, very good!

Needless to say after 2 pm when the kids loaded the buses - there expressions said it all!! They were pooped from a GREAT DAY!
Abi still wanted to go out to dinner, I figured she would be too tired, so went for Mexican and cheese dip ( her fav) and then home to open the presents from us.

It was a GREAT Day!

Tony and I took Abi out to the Next of Kiln a few weeks back to check out there Birthday party package and show her how they can make ceramic items...she thought it was very cool and told us she wants to make something there- but STILL wanted to have her party at Dynamite Gymnastics. This is where she had her 5th party- which was why I was trying to convince her to do something different- but she truly wanted it there and it was her Birthday- so that's where she had it!! They do such a good job with the kids there and they ALL seem to have fun!!

She had 19 friends come celebrate with her and she had SO much fun!!

We have a big rock at the edge of the drive to keep the snow plow from taking out some of the yard and I let the girls make it "pretty" a few days ago. ( with washable paint and its already washed off and they are ready to decorate it again!)

Kindergartners put on a musical "Farmer and the Dell" for the Spring Show. We took some family pics prior to going. Abi has an apron on- she was to dress like a wife for the Farmer and the Dell.

We are new to this School Spring Break thing..so I was so shocked when we learned Abi had a full week off!

Why do I not remember it being this when I was in school?

So we planned a small trip to St. Louis. We purchased Disney on Ice tickets for the trip. Here are the girls LITERALLY 10 Minutes after walking into our hotel room door. NO JOKE!! They were beyond anxious to go swimming- not real sure why since they both have swam all winter long at their swim lessons. But anywhooo...here they are posing in their swimsuits,,,,

Afterwards...waiting on the elevator AND freezing :)
We stayed across from Union Station so we walked over to eat a nice dinner before the Disney Ice show. The girls ooohhhh and awwwing over the amount and size of the fish outside the Union Station, and they fed them.

And we are patiently waiting for the show to start-:)

Lets see... thru the night they talked us into Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Ariels fish friend Flounder HAT, Lighted up Ariel musical wands....

The show was AWESOME!! I highly recommend it to everyone ....of all ages! We will definitely keep an eye out for the Disney on Ice Princess Classics to come within traveling area... This particular show was Mickey and Minnies Magical Journey- had a lot of Princesses in the show- BUT did not have Cinderella...someone had high hopes of meeting Cinderella this night. We are going to have to plan our trip to Disneyworld this year. Pretty sure we will - they are SO READY! ( so is MOMMY!!!)

The next day we visited the St Louis City Museum...OH MY GOSH! THIS PLACE ROCKS!! Beyond any Childrens Museum we've ever visited. We spent the entire day here and had a BLAST- look it up and visit! AND be sure to wear your tennis shoes!

As you can tell Avri wasn't a fan of the caves down under ... basically because it was dark- Abi was lovin' it!!

This is the seal that a nurse, complete stranger (at that time) bought Abi while we were at the hospital- she felt bad that Abi had to come back for a third blood draw to prepare for her tonsilectomy.

The sweetest gesture ever!! Thank you Christy!

And Abi loves it and the seal did in fact, accompany her into surgery!

Avri's class had a Valentines Day party and she had to make her own box at home to take - so we made a little "LOVE BUG"..... for my little Love Bug.

Abi's daycare class worked very hard for a few months on a play, Wizard of Oz. Abi had the part of a Munchkin. Can you find her?.... She is the one cheesing!!

And afterwards with one of her FAV daycare teachers.

A recent craft project....me and the girls LUV to do crafty crafts-
Buy ya some Glass gems at the Dollar Store.... and some small magnets....

And VIOLA... you have these cute magnets! We found fun scrapbook paper and cut the size of the glass gem to fit, wrote on some, cute small pics or stickers for some....and Mod Podge glued them to the gem.
Girls made some special ones for gifts....here is where I got the cute idea.

Abi made some very special Valentines on her own. take a look...this one just melts my heart- this is forever a keepsake....

Abi's Reading Test... Her Daddy and I are Super Duper proud of her...

and look how well she is doing in swim class.... GO ABI!!!

A week or so before her tonsils were removed- she just kept drawing pictures and writing tonsils on them...hmmm???? silly girl....

And little Ms. Avri got sick for a bit - its just been the longest winter- EVER! She was on breathing treatments for about 5 days to get rid of all that junk... see that smile still?

And after she got to feeling better....she will pose for the camera ANY DAY...ANY TIME!

January 20th?? REALLY? My LAST POST?

So, need I tell you that life has been busy? GREAT.... ( but a tad busy! :)

Hold on....here goes a three month BLOG up date to fill you in on SOME of the Tertocha household events. :)

The girls bring up Florida on a daily basis, and as I know we will get them to see the Magical Castle that all their favorite princesses live in,,, we are trying to wait it out until naps are not a Must...and they can actually stay up past sundown with out turning into GRUMPY bears. Well, its not just the Magical Castle they want to see. Abi is so anxious to see the ocean. She knows all about it from Gma who travels alot and once brought her back seashells. So a few nights ago...she gets her seashells and spreads them all over the bottom of her bathwater...and says...Its her ocean and played forever!

Abi has again started the frequent fevers and couch bound. For those that dont already know, she is getting her tonsils out soon. She isn't aware quite yet, only because she is a worrier, like her mommy. They booked us practically 5 weeks from the date we were told...so why tell her that soon, right?! I am looking for the book Good Bye Tonsils, should help me to explain to her too. Found on-line, but looking for it locally.

I personally did not make any New Years resolutions, did you? I instead made "2011 Goals". Wish Me Luck! Nothing is unreachable!

Abi got Just Dance for Kids on Wii, she is getting better and better. Tony and I try it sometimes with her....quite COMICAL!! :) When I need a laugh...( hope he doesn't read this...) I watch a video I recorded of Tony dancing to "Celebration."

Avri has moved to a big girl room at daycare. She is doing fine with the move and now has Journal time!! I'm excited because she isn't much like her sister was at this age- who constantly wanted a pencil in her hand. Avri would rather show you her Booty dance or just simply have a conversation about ANYthing.

Abi is doing great at Kindergarten still, getting more sight words under her belt. She got her first report card recently and did amazing!

We are coming up on a weekend! Hope you make it amazing!

The girls and I decorated jars for Valentines Day candy...my .50 cent deal of the week find ( the jars) and used ribbons and craft stuff we already had...

More Christmas

I did so good updating the blog over my holiday vacation time...but not so good now that we are back in swing of things. I still had more Christmas pics to get posted and today's roads are so icy, so what a better way to spend the lunch hour!

Later in the day on Christmas, we headed out to my moms, and spent the day with my parents and my brother and sister and their families.

Here is my fashionista niece, Haley, who is growing up ENTIRELY too fast!

Tony gets his very own LARGE size of jalapeno pickles. My parents make them and Tony absolutely loves them and eats them with everything!!

Abi gets her piano she wanted from Gma and Papa.

Our living room a few days after Christmas- too much stuff!! I let them have it all spread out for about two weeks and then I wanted our living room back to normal!:)

Winter Fun

The first big snow we had, Tony took Abi out and they built a small tunnel for her to crawl under. Then when Avri got up from nap- they went out and sled down the small incline we have on the way to the park. They were having so much fun- but entirely too cold to stay out too long!

Once again, we were playing around with the camera, I let the girls play with it too and take some pics- and we tried the timer too. They were so giggly if you cant tell. Love moments like these!!

Over the holiday break, Tony and I took the girls roller skating and to the Yogi Bear movie. Movie was cute; roller skating, well Avri had a MAJOR meltdown when we took her skates off- its a two hour session you know, she didn't quite get that.

Santa came to our house, did he come to yours? ( oh! and the tooth fairy too- she must think those that lose teeth on Christmas Eve are special and deserve an extra gold dollar coin because Abi got TWO this time....)

The girls came and got Tony and I up and we all went into the living room together to find Santa had been!! I was relieved!! :)

Wasnt sure if he would think they had been good enough all year :)

We had a wonderful Christmas and we hope you and your family did too. Spending time with Tony and the girls, and my family, and all of Tony's family is a true blessing. It is sad to think of the loved ones that are not with us during these holidays- however, we are creating new memories to add to the old that we will ALWAYS have in our hearts.

Before we headed out to my Mom and Dads house...Abi was doing some posing for me. There was something special that she wanted captured. She lost her second tooth today. Yes, that's right...TOOTH fairy and Santa came over in the same night. What a special night for her!

And to close the night, the group gathered around and played quarters. No, NOT a drinking game quarters, but a game with 3 dice, and 3 quarters per person and depending on what you roll...you either move your quarter to the left, to the right, or to the center..and it goes until someone is the last person with a quarter and they win the pot......and the winner was.......AVRI!! ( look whose getting the quarters....her sissy)

I think I heard Austin say...Ive been playing for 16 years and haven't won the pot yet and Avri won! :)

Tertocha Family Christmas 2010

We celebrated Christmas with Tony's family at his brothers house. All the kids (8 GIRLS!!!) had a great time.

Avri got boots from Aunt Lisa and family! You know she loves her cowboy boots...and these are " real" cowboy boots from Texas!

And of course...you know she had to put them on right then! Perfect fit!

Cameron and Peyton are happy with just the wrapping paper.

Madison, Abi and Avri all got fancy dresses from Uncle Rob, so those were put on too....you girls look beautiful!

Tony couldn't resist getting Cameron and/or Peyton a CUBS cheer leading outfit. Not to sure Lisa and Carlos ( Cardinal fans) will dress them it. Lisa said the "C" could stand for Cameron!! :)

On Christmas Eve the girls sprinkled reindeer food on the front ~~lawn~~ snow. :) Not only was it food, but it was glitterized food so that it would twinkle in the moon light!! (Thank you Ms.Whitney for making us some) The girls loved it...and I see it being done again in the years to come!

I cannot tell you how great it was to finally see Cameron, Peyton and Madison again. Ive only seen the babies once since they were born and they were about 6 months then... and there is tremendous change that happens from 6 months to a year. They were even off bottles already!!! Cameron and Peyton, ( AND Madison, of course) are just beautiful. The smiles that are heartwarming that Ive seen in pics ...are even better in person. I don't think the weather was very good for them, to go from 75 degrees ( Texas) to what we've been having caused some sniffles during their visit.

Abi and Avri were just as happy to have them here. The bigger girls ran around playing.

Avri's soccer season is over. These are from her last game. Thank goodness she wanted to play this day, the week before she told coaches and ref's ...she just wanted to watch- and would not get off the bleachers. STINKER!!!

We recently had an adult night- always fun to get together with good friends!!

I recently went to Avri's swim class...which she LOVES doing and talks about it all the time!! That is one of those questions she asks daily in the mornings...is it Swim day? Look at that HAM!! I'm so proud of how good she is doing!!!

Oh......sadly I report that Abi has lost her first tooth!! (SAD for me... its one more sign my baby is growing up!) She had come home from school a month or so ago- and was telling Tony and I all the different kids who have lost A tooth ....interestingly so...she woke me up soon to tell me she had a loose tooth. And it stayed loose for about 3 weeks.

I had hoped she wasn't at school for her first one. Just for two reasons......a. the obvious- a "first" for her and mommy...and b... I knew there would be blood and not to sure how she would take that.

Well her and Avri and I were out shopping Sunday night and out it came!! She wasn't the least bit bothered by the blood- just anxious to tell the world and for the tooth fairy visit!

And the Tooth Fairy brought a gold dollar coin and a dollar bill!

Still a beautiful smile!

I had the pleasure of being a helper with Abi's Fall Festival Classroom Party.... I'm so glad I did too- lots of fun!

I love Fridays, and its rubbed off on the girls as they love Fridays too! They have asked many times "is it Friday yet", or "how many days til Friday?"......    This will be short and sweet- and will give you an inside look at things that have been taking place at the Tertocha household through the week......Enjoy and have a fabulous weekend!

        * According to Avri she informs us she used to be a firetruck. Seriously!! She has told us many many times this week!! (okay Avri, whatever you say sweet pea :)!
            * Abi told me that a little boy in her class told her that another little boy in her class "loves her".   ( Mommy GULP/fighting back big smile) I asked "What did you do?" She said TOLD THE TEACHER! :)
          * Avri has been introducing herself as Dee-Dee. We have no idea where this comes from. We don't know a Dee-Dee. She is blaming Dee-Dee for things when she gets in trouble too-she says  "Dee-Dee did it"..... hmmmm...Tony and I are wondering should we be worried???? :)
           * We are now close enough to Christmas that we are daily using the tactic "Santa is watching YOU!!"
         * Avri told me at her cuddle time..." My god is in my heart and my belly. Where is your God, Mommy?"   awww..love her!
         *Abi has now learned at Kindergarten (obviously at recess and not in the classroom) that the middle finger is bad-..I couldn't believe it!!! She just simply said "Mommy- I know whats really bad...so I'm going to do it real fast to show you..."   ohhh myyyy.... the things they learn when we let them out of our wings.
        *Every morning, Avri puts up a fight for a dress, and ONLY a dress. Not skirts- she has about 10 skirts, but no chance of those- according to her they don't twirl enough. ( I'm thinking- are you KIDDING me- your 3- your not supposed to care what you wear!!) So believe me, when she gets her dress on she spins to make sure....AND she says the same thing EVERY morning, "My friends at school are going to say...oooohhhh la...la...Look at Avri" :)
       We are like all families- total chaos of the evenings, busy... busy, dinners, baths/showers, read books, maybe squeeze in a game.... but busy is good. I wouldn't have it any other way.

                Busy means we are all healthy and able!! I'm very thankful!

MY TURN!

Avri watched her sister from the sidelines play soccer this fall and she asked many times when could she play? At first I told her she had to wait til she was 5 like sissy...but she kept asking... so I found a different Y program that offered soccer for 3 yr olds. She had her birthday JUST in time- she had to be three by Oct. 30. But this also means she is the youngest by far on her team.

BUT at the first game this last Saturday- age was no factor!!

She was AWESOME!! talk about FUN to watch - I couldn't take my eyes off her- she ran for the ENTIRE 30 minutes up and down the soccer court with a HUGE Smile- she loved every second of it! She was right in there making her way to the ball. AND within the first minute of the game- at the furthest opposite end of the court, she got the ball and kicked it all the way down and scored!!!

It was so cool- and luckily Tony was filming, so we have watched it a few times. Really, really cute!

Multiple Halloween Events

Like all families,we had multiple Halloween events. These are a few of the parade at the daycare Avri goes too ( and Abi after school). Avri was a beautiful Cinderella. With pink cowboy boots instead of shiny glass slippers. She INSISTED, and I didn't argue- it was her Halloween costume!:)

Medal Time

Abi's fall soccer season has come to an end. I don't see professional soccer in her future. :) Overall- she had a good time- she just doesn't have the energy level it takes to run up and down the field the whole game- but as for the social part- she enjoyed it!

At the end of the game- her coach had a nice, quick medal ceremony. The coach called them up one by one and made comments on each player. When he got to Abi, he called her the Princess of the Team.( SO TRUE!!) He said she had learned how to manage the ball good but needed to learn how to push the boys out of the way!

She was proud of her medal!

She now knows 8 sight words and loves to have Tony and I read her books and let her read the sight words. We had our first parent/teacher conference and to no surprise rec'd a great report.

Mickey Mouse 3rd Birthday Party

We always let the girls pick what kind of party they want and Avri kept going back to Mickey Mouse. So a Mickey Mouse party was had! Avri, our baby, turned three. Not so much a baby anymore...sniff, sniff.

I let Abi pick out her own gift to give her sissy. After about an hour and half of up and down the aisles at Target ( she was putting MUCH thought into her gift)...she decided on the Playdough Ice Cream Sundae maker. GOOD CHOICE! The girls have had a ball playing it with it! Although- we've made some that look good enough to eat....and well..... we caught Avri trying one out. I'm sure she was disappointed it didn't quite taste as good as it looked!

Avri is the ONLY three yr old I know to get soo excited about a new robe! She immediately modeled for everyone at the party and wears it all the time!!

HER FIRST BIKE! It was time. She has tried climbing up on Abi's a few times ready to ride.... so we picked out a cute turquoise and pink one with Doggy Foot prints.

First School Field Trip

Yep! you guessed it! Yet another trip to the Pumpkin Patch this season. This one was special- it was Abi's school field trip. All the kindergarten classes went. I met them out there and I am so glad I did. Another mother and I had 4 girls to watch over and help pick out pumpkins. They had a lot of fun!

Arthur Pumpkin Patch VIsit

Yes, we may visit Pumpkin patches more than any other family you know. :) Like I said in a previous post, the girls love them and mommy does too. The weather on the Saturday we went to the Arthur patch was just amazing! Actually hot enough for Abi to be in shorts and to even enjoy ice cream!!

Tony and I and my parents took the girls to the Boo at the Zoo recently. We were so fortunate to have a beautiful evening for the event. The girls havent come to a final decision on what they want to be for Halloween yet- so for the evening they settled for wearing dresses from Abi's dress up box. Abi called herself Pinkalicious .. ( her favorite book right now) and Avri just settled for being called a Princess.

I have no explanation for how she grew up overnight...why do they insist on doing this so fast?

I told her a few days ago...I will make her a special dinner on her birthday what would she like....and she said "Green Beans- they make you grow up big and strong"....she doesn't even like green beans. So I asked again this morning and this time I got a better answer..."PANCAKES!" I can do that and she really does love pancakes.

Black Barts Pumpkin Patch Visit

That time again- to visit the pumpkin patches!! One of Abi's most favorite things to do and Avri is following her sisters footsteps. They can spend hours their! I love it too. We went to Black Barts on Sunday about two weeks ago, and it ended up being so cold and breezy! They didn't seem to mind!

My First Soccer Mom Experience....

Abi started fall soccer in August and season ends 2nd weekend of October. She kicked around a soccer ball some at her daycare and really enjoyed it. I think she took after her Daddy who played soccer. Cant say I have any previous experience other than maybe watching a few games back in High School days for no other reason than cute boys on the team... ha! :)

So far she has enjoyed it. She does great the first half.... second half she normally poops out and cant run up and down the field. She's gotten her feet at the game ball a few times....

Princess Party

Abi recently had the pleasure of "princess life" for a few hours. She was invited to one of her sweet friends, Maddie's b-day celebration at Its A Girls Thing downtown. What an ADORABLE party it was!

Pony Express Days 2010

Abi and Avri had a great time as you can see at the Pony Express Days in MTZ, my old stomping grounds. I remember as a kid/young teen getting so excited to see the Pony Express Days arrive. Abi took a friend and it was so good to see them laughing and giggling together all evening. Avri sure didn't hesitate to join their fun!

I took Abi and my mom to the Alice in Wonderland play at the Little Theater on the Square in Sullivan- it was very good! Abi is in line to get Alice's autograph here...

The girls and I spent the day at the Bloomington- Normal pool- what an awesome place it was! Very clean and kid friendly...too bad we waited til the end of the summer to go- we will definitely be visiting there more next summer! Girls had a blast!

FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN 08-19-2010

As much as I tried to slow it down, the day came. Abi has officially started Kindergarten. She has been very excited to get started, and excited to see her new classroom. She has shown us NO fear of this day, which as a parent I should be very happy about that, right?! Well, it has made it a little easier. I say a little- I'm the one having the hard time (no surprise- huh?!) The whole bus thing bothers me- but from talking to other moms I'm not alone. And this BUS thing is what she is so excited for, too! There comes a time when we can no longer hold their hands...and this is one of those times.

And now as I type this its Day 4 and I get a little bit each day from her about her new Kindergarten days. This is what I have learned so far: She likes her teacher and her PE teacher, she pledges the flag each morning, she gets to go to the bathroom by herself ( OH AND the lights come on all by them self when you walk into the bathrooms!!! :), she has to raise her hand to talk, she sits by a nice girl named Ava.

I'm very excited now that I have the first day jitters over, and very excited about the learning and growing Abi is going to do over this school year.

I can't leave Avri out! She too is excited for her Big sister and the new things going on in her life. She had to see her sissy get on the school bus on the second day....and she talks about when SHE will be starting Kindergarten.... ( not for a long time if Mommy can help it!! :)

Avri has graduated to a bigger age room at Daycare and started a few days ago. She is doing wonderful with the exception she misses her old teachers- they were great!

Girls Road Trip

Recently, we had a Saturday Girls Road trip. Not the same as "girls road trips" 15 years ago- BUT I must say I think this kind is much more fun! The girls and I headed to St. Louis and went to the Magic House. What a fun place for little ones!! Hours upon hours of fun was had!!

After the St Louis Magic House we headed downtown to the Arch. We walked around outside and inside. Spent about an hour or so inside walking thru the museum. Abi was a bit upset that we didnt get to go up in it. But they were over three hours behind on the rides up- I was NOT waiting around that long!

On Sunday- We went for a nice boat ride on Lake Decatur with my parents. Sure was a nice way to cool off!

Holiday World ~ Santa Claus, Indiana

We took the girls to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. A FUN place for kids! Its a very large amusement park- and so nice, friendly and clean! If you have kids, You should visit! Well worth the drive! The girls are posing waiting patiently on Daddy to park the truck so we can go in for Day 1 at the park! :)

The majority of my pics are just from the kiddie rides, trust me we rode bigger rides. Avri's ponytail reached ( barely) the line for being tall enough to ride almost everything at the park. Yeah- Even the rides that made mommy's tummy turn upside down. But the girls loved it! A few I had to sit out on....

I think Abi is a few shades whiter at the end of this ride....:)

This is outside at Santa's lodge. This is where we stayed, down the street from Holiday World.

The girls on Day 2 at the Amusement Park. We spent the entire day at the water park side and then cleaned up in their locker rooms in the evening and rode rides until the park closed! This water park was AWESOME!! SO much to see and do and ride! Girls were having the time of their lives....they LOVED the water side! Avri was tall enough for the big thunder river type rides, she would have the same look on her face for every ride! It was too funny!

This ride below- Holiday World advertises to be the largest water slide ever. Well, we watched it a few times drop and finally Tony decided he was going to do it- alone of course- none of us were following! Abi was starting to cry- I told her its fine, over and over. Later, after he does this slide, they were in line for another ride and she spanked her Daddy and said "Don't you ever ride a ride like that again!"

OK, prepare yourself this may be a long Post. The date finally arrived that we have long anticipated. Kellie and Nate's wedding date. Kellie and Nate have been dating for years- she is my cousin that I babysat growing up- she used to fight over sitting "next" to me at the family table during family get-together growing up.. :0)

She dated Nate all thru her college years at Ball State and then as they started there lives in California.
Abi had the honor of being the flower girl in their wedding.

Reception at the Masonic Temple. We had SO much fun. The girls danced the night away- literally! They could NOT get off the dance floor! When I would need to take a break to rest, Avri would be right after me- "mommy- come back and dance with me." A few times I got Papa and Gma to take my place. But for the most part I danced the night with them- and had so much fun. Music was great- Girls crashed on the way home. As a matter of fact- Avri was telling me as we pulled out of the parking lot at 10pm, ( HOURS of dancing!!) she didn't want to go home, but as she was finishing her sentence ....asleep she was! TOO CUTE!

We recently celebrated a long time friend's 40th birthday. My girlfriend planned a group of 16 to go to a Cardinals game together to celebrate...and ride "in style". We left Decatur from their house in a Ford F350 LIMO. Totally awesome!

Here's the group...before the day got started. Yes, Tony has Cubs gear on and yes he went to watch the Cardinals. :) He didn't mind, he was in good company! He even bought me a Cardinals shirt to wear to the game!

Birthday boy!

We stopped at Fast Eddies in Alton. Oh my gosh- I cant believe this place has existed and Ive never been- I LOVED IT- I cant WAIT to go back! Awesome shrimp, awesome food, awesome environment! I was ready to stop again on the way back after the game!

It was ironic, the first person we saw when we walked in the doors was my brother in law, Carlos. Him and Lisa were headed to Illinois for a visit, first time back with the babies. They spent time in St. Louis with their friends there before heading to Decatur.

The entire day was so much fun- had a great time! We did experience a slight problem with the limo on the way home. Approx Springfield area the limo was starting to break down and had to pull over numerous times. Not good- and the air had to be turned off, and I don't believe we were going over 30MPH, got quite interesting...and if you know me well, you know I was bit worried. But we made it-and ya know- the day was so much that this didn't take away from it at all!

Thank you so much Mike and Sheila for letting us celebrate with you! We love you guys!

Our first Camping Adventure 2010

As most of you know we enjoy camping through out the season, however we always had to shack up with others. At the end of last years season we purchased a pop-camper and we took it out for the first time this Memorial Day weekend. We stayed close to home and went to Weldon Springs. Everything worked like a charm, ( minus the frig stopped working halfway thru the weekend- but that's ok we had plenty of coolers) It was Memorial Day weekend and we were a bit worried there may not be any sites left. Especially since we weren't pulling in until Friday afternoon. There were two- and one being handicapped. So we packed in with the help of our neighbors...and Tony set up in no time! Immediately we met our "neighbors" and found that we were surrounded by kids- mainly girls. Our girls had so much fun playing with them!

They broke out squirt guns and the kids had a BLAST running around soaking each other.

Our camper below. A/C worked great, we have a Bathroom and a small shower that the girls used and it all worked great!

One of the trails right by our campsite led us to a little Grille that sat on a pond with paddle boats. On Saturday afternoon at a pretty hot point in the day, we took off with our girls and a few others camping next to us and headed to get some ice cream.

And a perfect way to end the Holiday weekend. The girls were super ready to get out the slip n slide on Monday, Memorial Day. Even though it wasn't slip n slide weather.

Abi turned the big 5 last week. The morning of her birthday, Tuesday, I sat on the edge of her bed, we talked and she sat up and said "See if you can still carry me now that I am 5." So I walked her around her room- Guess she is worried the older she gets mommy wont be able to carry her. She was so glad I still could. And then she told me she still "felt 4". She was a lucky girl this year with many birthday celebrations. She had her first "friends" party on Saturday, and then the family party on Sunday. Then on Tuesday, her actual B-day, we let her choose where she wanted to eat dinner at and she chose Texas Roadhouse. Tony, Avri and I gave her all our presents.

She got alot of cute stuff, and one very special blanket. Gma handmade her this blanket for her cot at school and its Abi's favorite things- purple and glittery butterflies! She loves it!

This is her within two minutes of the last person leaving for her party. And I might throw in - if it got a wrinkle in it as she layed there watching a movie she requested Tony or I straighten it up. AND Avri was not allowed to touch it. Geesh! :)

Being a mother is the best "JOB" I have ever had. I say job because it is work, but the most rewarding job in return than any other job I could have.
My family is my everything!
This Mother's Day was so special! Tony was off for one, we started the day with an awesome church service and then played around outside and then took my Mom and Dad to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

Tony and the girls surprised me with a mothers ring,with the girls birthstones. I love it!

Abi is always writing....

Last couple weeks Avri's favorite thing has been Abi's lip gloss bucket. Its kept in the kitchen and its full of different flavors, glosses etc. You can always find Avri playing in it while I'm cooking dinner. Here is how our second princess looks every night- think she may need some make-up pointers :)

The Prettiest Dancing Lion!

Abi has been taking dance lessons, by Decatur Park District Dance and she recently had her FIRST Dance recital. Here we are before we left for her recital. I cant tell you how proud and worried ( afraid she would get stage fright!) I was for her. She did great the "rehearsal"night, however lights were on, music wasn't loud AND there were just a handful of moms in the seats at the Decatur Civic Center. Dance recital day- the lights were out, music loud and not an empty seat! OUR little lion danced her heart out! I have to admit, my eyes were filled with tears watching Abi perform on stage- HAPPY tears, ( yes, I know I'm an emotional mommy) but I cant tell you how proud I was of her!!

This would be Avri when we got home. I went back and forth on whether to take Avri to the dance recital. I knew I didn't want her to miss her Sisters big debut, however I was worried how well a 2 yr old could sit still through a lengthy recital, not to mention it was DURING nap time! Well, Both my girls came through this day! Avri was GREAT! She sat still taking turns on our laps, but watched and enjoyed the entire 2 hour recital! As each group came out, she looked for her sister.
But it obviously wore her out watching all that dancing- she crashed!

Abi the next day with the flowers she rec'd from Mommy and Daddy and Gma. SO Beautiful! I love you sweetheart!

So Abi gets in the car after daycare and I tell her I have reserved a SUPER FUN Place for her birthday party coming up. And she replies..."OH GOOD! IS it Disney world?"

Me (laughing): "NO, its not Disney World!"

Abi (excited): "IS it Florida?"

Me (still laughing): "NO, its not Florida."

I'm starting to get worried at this point..... the high hopes she has for her 5th birthday!! WOW!

Abi ( excitement decreasing some) " IS it Chuckee Cheese?"

ME: "No, honey its not Chuckee Cheese."

Thank Goodness when I told her we are having the party at Dynamite Gymnastics she wasn't disappointed. This will be her first year having a "friend" party. Should be fun. She took tumbling here for months and they offer a Birthday package that sounds really cool! I'm all for keeping the kids happy and taking the entertainment off of me!

And an update on Ms. Avri- she is officially wearing Big girl underwear all day (with the exception of nap time and bedtime- pull ups then). I'm super excited for her and she is super proud too! She gets stickers all day at daycare for going potty, and she loves all her new underwear she has. WAY TO GO AVRI!

EASTER 2010

A week before Easter the girls colored eggs. Avri was more interested in how stained she could get her fingers:) The girls have always loved doing this and Abi is still amazed at the "magical" crayon she uses and then dips in the colors and her writing then appears!

Ive only gotten to eat one hard boiled egg out of the TWO dozen colored, Ms. Abi LOVES Hard boiled eggs and eats about three a night along with her dinner! Avri doesn't care for them but enjoys peeling them.

EASTER MORNING!

Abi came and woke me up and asked to me to peek in the living room and make sure that the Easter Bunny was gone. She then told me she heard him "chewing" in the middle of the night. She left him a snack, she had wanted to leave carrots, but we chose cookies instead. The bunny didn't seem to mind.
Here's Avri already into the treats in her basket by 7:30 AM. Yes, I let her have chocolate in the morning! Easter is only once a year!
